At Plantation Shutters we offer a variety of shutter styles and for the DIY website we have selected the two most popular ones for you – full height and café style. Picking the right one ultimately starts with what your requirements are but any of them will cover most design needs.
Full Height
As the name says, it covers the full height of the window. For taller windows there might be a need for a divider rail. This is the horinzontal section in the middle of the panel. This means, you can control the slats above and below the divider rail independently but the panel hinges open as one.
Café Style
Café style shutters cover the bottom half of your window with a three sided frame leaving the top half of the window shutter-free. If you’re looking for privacy but want to have the top half of your window uncovered, Café style is what you need.
